Cannes Film Festival 2026: Films, Stars, and Fashion Moments

The Cannes Film Festival 2026 is back with new films, directors, and some of the biggest names in cinema. The festival is known for first screenings of films that often become award season favourites, and this year’s lineup is already getting attention. One of the most talked-about films is Paper Tiger from James Gray. The film stars Adam Driver and Miles Teller, and it is already being mentioned as a possible award contender.

There is also Hope, a sci-fi thriller from South Korean filmmaker Na Hong-jin, starring Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander. The film was screened at Cannes and has been one of the most discussed titles so far.

Japanese director Ryusuke Hamaguchi returned with All of a Sudden, while Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar premiered Bitter Christmas. Both films add to the international lineup at this year’s festival.

There has also been attention on Her Private Hell from Nicolas Winding Refn. The film stars Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton, and Halsey, and whobreceived a long standing ovation after its screening.

Outside of the films, Cannes continues to be known for its red carpet moments. Stars including Demi Moore, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor Russell, and Bella Hadid and more appeared at the festival.
