New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 focused on ready-to-wear collections that showed how designers see the season ahead. The week opened with Rachel Scott at Diotima. Her collection, titled Femme Cheval, drew from the work of Cuban artist Wifredo Lam and explored ideas connected to his art. The show stood out for its cultural references and clear visual direction. Scott also presented her first collection as creative director of Proenza Schouler, where she introduced relaxed tailoring, layered pieces, and subtle texture. Olivia Munn attended the Proenza show.
From there, Ralph Lauren continued the week with a collection that mixed his classic style with updated details. The runway featured layered tweeds, long coats, riding boots, and rich fall colors. Gigi Hadid opened the show, while Anne Hathaway, Ariana DeBose, Lana Del Rey, and Emilia Jones were in the front row. Michael Kors followed with his 45th anniversary presentation, showing tailored coats, knitwear, evening dresses, and opera gloves. Gabrielle Union, Dakota Fanning, Leslie Bibb, and Anna Wintour attended
As the schedule moved forward, Christian Siriano brought a dramatic mood to the runway with statement pieces and eye-catching fabrics. Leslie Jones, Uzo Aduba, Julia Fox, Natasha Lyonne, Whoopi Goldberg, and Taylor Momsen were among those in attendance. LaQuan Smith followed with a collection that stayed true to his style, featuring sheer lace, cut-out details, and sleek tailoring. Monica, Natasha Lyonne, and Bianca Lawson attended his show.
Other designers added range throughout the week. Coach presented relaxed looks built around plaid, leather, and layered styling, while Tory Burch focused on clean, refined ready-to-wear. Marc Jacobs also showed his Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection, Memory Loss, at the Park Avenue Armory. The clothes referenced moments from fashion history and from his own earlier work, updating classic shapes like straight skirts, sweaters, and tailored pieces for the season ahead
Calvin Klein returned with minimal looks focused on clean lines and tailoring, while Public School came back to the runway with sharp pieces influenced by streetwear. Khaite presented a Fall/Winter 2026 collection that played with leather, structured pieces, and layered looks, while Collina Strada offered expressive designs with translucent layers and sculptural details, each showing a unique view of fall dressing. A$AP Rocky also presented his AWGE collection with Rihanna attending in support. Overall, Fall/Winter 2026 did not follow one trend. Each designer showed their own view of ready-to-wear, creating a season that reflected how people want to dress today.
