Golden Eve: The Golden Globes Honor Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren

On the eve of Hollywood’s most anticipated night, the Golden Globes brought together industry leaders and creatives to honor two women whose influence on film, television, and fashion spans generations: Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren. The intimate pre-awards gathering recognized careers across the entertainment industry.

Sarah Jessica Parker was honored for her impact and contributions to television and film. Best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, Parker is celebrated for her television roles and her influence on fashion. She has starred in commercially successful films such as Sex and the City, Failure to Launch, and The Family Stone. A passionate reader, Parker frequently shares her love of books and storytelling, both on social media and in interviews. Off-screen, she is known for her beautifully curated Met Gala looks, embracing avant-garde designers and statement pieces that make headlines. Over the course of her career, she has won six Golden Globe Awards and is being presented with the Carol Burnett Award at Golden Eve.

Helen Mirren was honored for her career in film, television, and theater. She has delivered memorable performances in films such as The Queen, Red, and The Hundred-Foot Journey. She has also received numerous awards over her career, including an Academy Award, multiple BAFTAs, Emmys, Golden Globes, and she has been named a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Beyond acting, Mirren enjoys gardening and supports charitable causes such as children’s rights and international relief efforts. At this year’s event, Mirren is being presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at Golden Eve, recognizing her lifetime achievements in film and television.
